Design Labs –
– Steel: Collaborated with a partner on a quarter-long project involving the design of a combined moment and braced frame steel building. Developed gravity and lateral loads with ASCE 7-05 and IBC. Designed members using AISC 9th Ed as well as computerized analysis in RISA. Framing plans and details completed on AutoCAD.
– Timber: Designed a secondary timber office/mezzanine structure within an existing warehouse structure. Members designed in accordance with ANSI NDS-05 and IBC. Framing plans and details completed using both AutoCAD and freehand drafting.
– Concrete: Designed a 3 story concrete building with a shear wall lateral system. Members designed in accordance with ACI 318-05. Beams and slabs modeled in RISA,with columns being analyzed using PCA column. Details, sections, and framing plans completed using AutoCAD.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
EIT Certification – Passed the Engineer In Training/Fundamentals of Engineering Exam in Fall of 2008.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient using Microsoft Office software (especially Word, Power Point, and
Excel), AutoCAD, MATLAB, RISA, and PCA Column. Limited experience using ETABS and REVIT. Versed in both Mac and Windows operating systems.
