Recruited to provide on-site support for MNF-I’s (Multi National Forces Iraq) classified, and unclassified WANs. Day-to- day responsibilities include active monitoring of networks providing quick response to network events and outages. Design and implement secure cost-effective network designs that meet or exceed the US Centcom’s strict TLA (Top Layer Architecture) standards. Perform detailed troubleshooting, installation and maintenance of Cisco routers, and data encryption devices. Coordinate with other contractors and Military personnel to repair and or improve the physical and logical WAN infrastructure. Furnish technical advice and assistance to computer personnel (Civilian, Military). Develop and conduct briefings and training on network outages. Install system security upgrades/patches, perform planned and periodic system security checks, plan and coordinate installation, testing, operation and maintenance of hardware and software for the systems. Identify cause of system failure, troubleshoot all aspects of the system to include, hardware, software, performance issues, and communications equipment to include Cisco 7600, 7200, 3700, and 3800 configuration and management.
