Services provided include assistance with permitting, landscape consulting/ design, and production of construction documents.

Sub-contractor for the Capstone Civil Group, Charlotte, NC (April- May 2012)
Services provided include; assisting the vendor’s supervisor on site with co-ordination of the fabrication of two pre-engineered greenhouse structures as the lead of the local labor crew. Constructed and installed 18 raised wooden beds and assisted the vendor of the aquaponic system with the installation.

Sub-contractor for Community Design Group, Tega Kay, SC (October 2011 to present)
Projects at two local universities include; design/ drafting of documents for planning and construction, supervision of university staff during installation. Also researched and presented options for vendors, materials and products needed for a successful project.

PBS&J, Charlotte, NC (December 2008 to February 2009)
Report Specialist in the Risk and Emergency Management Division located in the Beaumont Texas field office. The temporary field office was established per contract with FEMA to provide temporary portable housing to hurricane victims.
Role: Assisted in collection of data from contractors, data entry, data retrieval, the nightly generation and submittal of seven different reports documenting contractor’s daily activities.


PBS&J, Charlotte, NC (October 2003 to July 2008)
Senior Landscape Architect with the eastern Planning + Landscape Architecture division responsible for land planning, site design, landscape design, and production of construction documents using CAD.

Additional responsibilities included writing and reviewing scope and fee proposals, supervision of junior staff, management of design concept and construction document production and coordination with consultants, contractors and clients.

Assisted with establishing the division in the Charlotte area, as well as with the other divisions within the company.


Projects and Role
FDOT, District One, Bartow, FL
Role: Reviewed the landscape construction plans of consultants for both submittal and design requirements as required by the FDOT. Proactively assembled a flow chart that tracked and documented plan sets in review, which in turn helped the FDOT increase efficiency in the review process.

Federal Credit Union, Lancaster, SC
This project involved a two-story, 50,000-square foot commercial development located on a six acre site. The project was guided by the principles of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
Role: Developed the landscape concept and working with the architect and owners to meet the desired LEED certification requirements. Produced construction documents and supervised the placement and installation of the natural boulders that were incorporated into the water feature, entry plaza, and employee patio.

South Corridor Infrastructure Program, Charlotte, NC
The City of Charlotte initiated this program to complement the South Corridor Light Rail project by providing infrastructure improvements to support transit-oriented development around seven major light rail stations.
Role: Prepared the planning report for the streetscape improvements, generated design concepts based on the planning report, and worked with the project managers to choose a design concept, refinement of the design, produced and coordinated the streetscape construction documents with the infrastructure improvement engineers.

South Corridor Light Rail Project, Charlotte, NC
The South Corridor Light Rail project provides light rail service along a ten-mile corridor from uptown Charlotte south to interstate 485.
Role: Provided alternate alignments and construction documents for a trail connection from the Woodlawn LRT Station park-n-ride to Chastain Avenue.

Senderra Site, Lancaster County, SC
This project required site/civil engineering, landscaping, and surveying for a two-story, 60,000 square foot building on a six-acre parcel of land.
Role: Was responsible for site plan and landscape design. He produced and supervised the production of the landscape construction documents.

National Gypsum Mount Holly Plant, Mount Holly, NC
This industrial development consisting of a 380,000-square foot manufacturing facility is on a one hundred sixty three acre site.
Role: Adjusted the site plan to meet local ordinance requirements. Provided landscape design, and supervised the production of construction documents. The planting plans included emergent plantings for the largest BMP/LID stormwater ponds in the Carolinas at the time of construction.

Ranson Road, Huntersville, NC
The project consisted of approximately thirty acres site. Services involved a due diligence study, sketch plan layouts, bio-retention design, base map preparation from tax map information, geographic information systems (GIS) information, Mecklenburg County aerial topography, and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities as-built information.
Role: Conducted due diligence and supervised assembly/production of the base map, site analysis, and several site plan concepts for review and approval by the client prior to purchase of the property.

Stonewall Streetscape Improvements, Charlotte, NC
The project included bimodal circulation and streetscape improvements plan for the Stonewall Street improvements project.
Role: Composed the planning report for the streetscape improvements and generated design concepts based on the planning report. Worked with project managers to choose a design concept, refined the design, produced the streetscape construction document and coordinated related issues with the infrastructure improvement engineers. Produced landscape construction plans in Microstation computer aided software (CAD).

System wide Landscaping Project (Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority [OOCEA])
This project reconfigured existing toll plazas and adjacent landscape plantings within the OOCEA jurisdiction.
Role: Collected field data to supplement topographic and survey information to ensure accuracy on the construction plans. Produced landscape construction plans in Microstation CAD software for several toll plaza areas.
