• Project Manager Hume Road Landslide. A 450 ft wide X 400 ft. high landslide, slide plane 25 ft deep. Quality control of compaction and workmanship of contractor, permits, hydro seed contracting and biological research for site. Managed county crews in the second slope repair for the project.
• Claims research and claims response reports
• Design of geotechnical projects for the Malibu, 336 and 339 road maintenance areas, for example design and project management of the 300 foot MSE wall at the County Water Works project at Winding Way.
• Project manager and geotechnical design for road maintenance projects.
• Initiated the use of “new” technology including the use of geogrid for soft subgrade, geogrid with fabric embedded (i.e. Combi grid) for soft subgrade with base, GRS walls for cut/ fill failures (so that tie backs do not have to be used with the rail and timber walls), MSE walls and the use of Nilex wick drain systems for capturing slope surface run off to prevent erosion.
