CONSULTANT: Responsible for identifying and solving thermal field failures of IR Camera Systems for a key customer.
A FLIR customer requested a system thermal problem be resolved in four weeks or a contract would be terminated. The issue was isolated and a fix proposed during week one. Field upgrade parts designed and validated, and a service technician trained and heading to the field during weeks two and three. Performed additional Solar Radiation tests to validate a “sun shield” which provided the system additional thermal margin during week 4.

RELIABILITY ENGINEER: Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the Quality and Reliability of Print Heads.
Managed the construction of a new Failure Analysis Lab. Produced equipment specifications, evaluated suppliers, supported facilities modifications, and managed equipment installation.
Developed system level test plans. Test plans included fault isolation techniques, data collection requirements, failure analysis requirements, and prepared formal reliability test reports for NPI milestones.
Developed a technique for evaluating print head particle contamination. Setup a visual measurement system to determine particle size and concentration.
