Worked with traditional molecular biology and bioengineering research techniques as well as on the development and implementation of novel bioengineering protocols.

Research Work

Master’s Thesis; In Vitro Modeling of Interstitial Fluid Flow Relating to Pulmonary Hypertension (PH):
•Standard light, epifluorescence, confocal fluorescence and scanning electron microscopy studies into the underlying causes of PH and cellular behavior utilizing custom image analysis methods.
•Live animal research coupled with standard molecular biology assays such as PCR.
•Developed and employed novel bioengineering protocols for measurements of biological parameters such as vascular permeability, cellular motility and tissue porosity.
•Traditional, 3D and microfluidic cell culturing experiments to expand research scope.
