• Managed testing Fujitsu’s Optical Products - 85% to 90% of Fujitsu’s North American product line; led test set design, test code generation, test equipment automation (ATE), debug and repair support, design and specification reviews, vendor qualification, and assembly/test cell optimization.
• Created/executed functional test, unit test (Corelis JTAG), environmental testing, optical testing (SONET/packet), Ethernet, and DS3 for products such as EDFA amplifiers, optical switches, optical line/service units, optical mux/dmux, dispersion compensation modules, processor units, DS3 service units, fans, shelves, and cabinets.
• Completed Toyota Production System (TPS) training and used methods to redesign long takt time assembly cell.
• Developed an automated LED test methodology using an inexpensive webcam and innovative image comparison.
• Designed a test equipment sharing system with existing infrastructure to reduce capital equipment costs and simplify obsolete test equipment replacement processes.
