Primary responsibilities included utility design and consulting for municipal and private clients. Specific work experience included:

* USDA/Rural Development funding applications for various clients: Responsibilities included development of preliminary engineering reports for both water and sewer projects, preliminary design, cost estimates, development of project alternatives, and preparation of technical and environmental documentation.

* Gravity sewer smoke testing: Developed plan to evaluate gravity sewers for sources of inflow and infiltration utilizing smoke testing methods; managed field crew utilized for testing, field evaluation and documenting inflow and infiltration sources, provided recommendations to reduce the amount of inflow and infiltration.

* Water system modeling: Operated WaterGEMS modeling software for water distribution system analysis, based upon a previously calibrated water distribution model. Model utilized to develop water storage tank replacement scenarios, develop pressure reducing valve locations and enabled pump station design.

Design and consulting for waste management projects, in addition to stormwater design and modeling; specific work experience included:

* Responsible charge of the Construction Quality Assurance Report submitted to TDEC for construction of an expansion of an existing landfill facility. Responsibilities included verification that construction met permit drawing requirements, review of contractor and vendor submittals, weekly construction meetings, review of third-party quality assurance testing of geosynthetic and soil material, review of third-party land survey, and authoring of narrative included within report.

* Preparation of conceptual plans and coordination of specifications for landfill expansion.

* Developed a stormwater model using XPSWMM software to reflect current site conditions of an airport; included calibration of model to reflect local rainfall and USGS stream gauge data. Calibrated model was used to evaluate the effects of various stormwater control structures on peak and base flows during synthetic rainfall events.

* Design of a leachate recirculation system; included calculations, pump selection, discharge design, and remote power selection.
