EXPERIENCE: ​Operational Excellence/Manufacturing Engineering Manager: Allied Specialty Vehicles, Capacity of Texas, Longview TX (Nov 2013 - Present)
Currently working as Capacity of Texas’ primary leader of lean initiatives and manufacturing engineering projects. Responsible for 3 Engineers and 2 Lean Coordinators. Report directly to the General Manager and serve as a key member of the senior staff.
• Launched complete Terminal Truck redesign with engineering in 2015. Responsible for factory layout redesign, assembly process design, and prototype coordination. Reduced labor hours per unit by 21% and manufacturing lead time by 39%.
• Increased production capabilities of Mobile Products Sweeper units in 2015 through Major Kaizen and lean projects. 100% increase in production capabilities and a reduction of labor hours per unit by 41% resulted in $800K of labor savings. Maintained an OTD of 100%.
• Overhauled material presentation and material handling processes for the Assembly Line. Reorganized stockroom layout, implemented barcode scanning for transfers and material issuing, established Kanban, and documented work instructions and standard work.
• Implemented lean processes across the business in 2014 resulting in 31% reduction in direct labor, and a $1.3M decrease in labor costs. Achieved through standard work implementation and sustained through daily management Gemba walks.
• Facilitated over 10 transformational Major Kaizens which directly contributed to an EBITDA growth of over $4M in 2014.
• Implemented and maintained PFMEAs and Standard Work for assembly processes throughout the plant.
• Managed and facilitated the ASV Lean Certification Program. Conducted training for 100% of the workforce in basic lean principles (Visual Management, 5S, Standard Work, and Elimination of Waste).
• Managed all Value Stream Maps and Order to Cash process flows for both Capacity and Mobile Products business units.

Served as STEMCO’s EMLS (Enpro Manufacturing Learning System) primary educator and lean practitioner. EMLS is Enpro’s global manufacturing system that delivers superior financial results through the full release of human possibility. Managerial responsibility for EMLS Department of 4 Engineers: 1 Computer Engineer and 3 Engineer interns.
