EMPLOYMENT 1988-Present: Senior Mechanical Engineer, Esterline, Korry Electronics, Everett, WA • Project and Mechanical Engineer: As both project and mechanical design engineer, design and develop customized illuminated displays and controls, primarily for aerospace products. Responsibilities are to lead a cross-functional team, work with customers to create finished requirements, create and maintain project schedules, establish engineering design processes, design and draft mechanical parts and assemblies, perform structural and dynamic design analyses, and provide support to procurement, production and manufacturing. • Recent projects include development of control systems for the US Navy’s SSC, Embraer’s KC-390 tanker, Gulfstream’s G500/G600 aircraft, Lear Jet’s LJ85, and Boeing’s 787. Older projects include ATC/TCAS control panels for commercial and business aircraft, a multi-function display bezel for the S-92 helicopter, a HUMS control display unit for the BA-609 Tiltrotor, a multi-function display bezel for the U.S. Air Force’s F-16, a compass control unit with LCD for the U.S. Air Force’s KC135, a communications control panel for U.S. Navy ships, and a radio control panel for Boeing commercial aircraft. • Experienced with electronics packaging, cable design and electromagnetic shielding. • Experienced with many fabrication processes, including injection molding, sheet metal forming, screw-machining, CNC milling, casting, die cutting and laser-cutting, and with many materials including optical products, steel, aluminum, thermoplastics, elastomers, and adhesives. • Experienced with ARAS Innovator PLM Software. • Familiar with the ISO 9001 quality system, and with many military and commercial specifications, including RTCA/DO-160 environmental requirements. • Familiar with ITAR and EAR export regulations and export jurisdiction analysis.

1999-2003: Computer-Aided Modeling Contractor, Dynamark, Bothell, WA • Provided vibration modal analysis of Optiva’s Sonicare toothbrush, both for existing and conceptual new designs. • Designed and drafted an industrial grade tile saw for Carver Saw Co. • Designed a Rotovac motor mount for commercial use.
