-Obtain and prepare specimens to be tested in the laboratory.
-Follow infective-control and safety procedures in carrying out daily phlebotomy functions. -Build trust and minimize patient discomfort during phlebotomy procedures.
-Work collaboratively with patients, healthcare providers and patient support departments to ensure high quality service.
-Run in-house lab test such as Rapid Strep, Influenza A&B, Mycoplasma, Mononucleosis, and H-Pylori.
-Preform complete blood counts, urinalysis, ESR, cardiac panels, as well as prepare specimens for third party labs such as LabCorp.
-Obtain specimens from approximately 40-80 patients a day.
